          滑石粉实际上是一种带负电荷的微细粒子,特别是被水较好湿润的滑石粉,表现出较高的双层电位。另一方面,由于滑石粉的表面性能较低,其表面亲空气而憎水,气固两相接触界面张力小于液固两相界面张力,所以滑石粉不易脱出空气而被水湿润,因而影响了它的分散性,从而制约了它在纤维上的留着。


          据有关研究资料表明,填料的留着同样与过滤、絮聚和吸附作用有关,是絮聚作用的效应,其次是过滤作用。由此可知,要提高滑石粉的留着率,首先让滑石粉的表面获得良好而充分的湿润,并改弯其表面电荷,使它能在纸浆中充分分散并与纤维发生络合而絮聚。
